Founder's Day at J.C. Newman Cigar Co.

Join J.C. Newman Cigar Co. for the sixth annual Founder’s Day celebration!

On Saturday, April 25 from 11am-3pm., J.C. Newman Cigar Co. will celebrate the founding of the company (May 5) and the birthday of its founder (May 26) by opening up the factory on a Saturday.

Visitors can take a free tour of the factory, explore the cigar museum, peruse the factory store and celebrate outside with live music, food trucks, lawn games and a Cuban Sandwich eating challenge! This event is family-friendly, free and open to the public. A recreation of Sanchez y Haya cigars - Tampa’s first cigar rolled in 1886 - will be available for a special throwback price of just 5 cents each (limit 2 per person) with any purchase of $20 or more.
