BANNED BOOK EVENT

Wrap-up Banned Book Week with Bookends: Literature & Libations at Gasparilla Distillery on Saturday, September 28 from 5-7 pm. We’re planning a fun filled evening around a serious topic. Stop by to find out what actions you can take against censorship and book bans.

Event registration is NOT required for spectators. Please register via Eventbrite if you plan to read a passage from a banned book or participate in the spoken word portion of the event.

5:00-6:00 pm - Peruse our selection of banned books and merch, give a blind date with a book a try, sip on a cocktail, partake in banned bookmark crafting, and join the line up.

6:00-7:00 pm – Censorship Talk & Banned Book BINGO

7:00-8:00 – Partake in a banned book read out and spoken word, followed by an open mic discussion to give you an opportunity to share how a banned book has touched your life.

Happy hour is from 4-7 pm ($4 off cocktails).
